Wakefield Students

Win Honors

Wakefield School ir Huntly ranked fourth in the 1981-82 Virginia Junioi Mathematics League Contesi for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. The contest was administered statewide tc public and private elementary age children ir three regions. The region ir which the Wakefield student! competed covers the countie! of Clarke, ' Culpeper Fauquier, Frederick Madison, Rappahannock Warren, and the City ol Winchester.

The highest scoring Wakefield students were 6th graders Dakein Tapp and Carolyn Shaw; and 5th graders Tobias Dengel, Jennifer McNear, and Devon Suter. Tapp’s score of 31 was the fourth highest in the state and the second highest in the region.
