Bill and Lois had initially planned to take the balloon ride last November, the actual month of their wedding anniversary. But the weather wouldn't cooperate and they had to postpone the adventure until spring.
“I’m kind of excited—a little nervous but mostly excited,” admitted Lois a few minutes before lift-off. “I've wanted to do this for a long time.”
Bill was much more relaxed but that's to be expected from someone who spends most of his working hours in the air. “I went up in one before and parachuted out...Not because of any malfunction—just for the fun of it,” he reported.
