hand fought battle managed to keep that record unblemished. Each match was closely contested, and the score was even at 4-4 after all singles matches had been played. In doubles, however, the Wakefield teams proved the stronger, winning three of the four matches to lead the team to a 7-5 victory overall. John Landis, Larry Tarr, Adam Grim and Seth Hardison all had important victories.

The final records for Wakefields’ tennis teams this spring were: Boys varsity 3-30; Girls varsity 0-1-1; Boys’ J.V. 3-0-0; Girls J. V. 0-1-0.
