Forest Grove Benefit Dinner
The Forest Grove Baptist Church at Viewtown is planning a spring benefit dinner for Saturday, May 22, from 5 p.m. until 9 a.m. at the old Forest Grove school.
The menu will be old Virginia ham and fried chicken, corn pudding, string beans, parsley potatoes, peas, cole law, jello salad, pickled beets, pickles, homemade breads and pies, coffee and iced tea.
All home cooked food will be served with tickets $5.50 adults and $3.00 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased from church members or at Jenkins Garage. Amissville. phone 937-4692 or at the door Saturday evening.
Mental Health Film
The Mental Health Association of Culpeper, as part of observances of May as Mental Health Month, is sponsoring a showing of the film "What You Are Is Where You Were When” at St. Stephen's Church parish hall on May 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Produced by Dr. Morris Massey, an expert on human values and behavior, the film focuses on values and why people behave the way they do. It provides a look at how values, prejudices and ways of reacting to change are ■ programmed” into different age groups and attempts to direct individuals towards re-examination of values they place on themselves and others.
Both teenagers and adults are invited to view this free film.
