The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church will meet on Monday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Doug Bywaters. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hickerson and Mrs. Danny Hickerson and daughter were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson in celebration of Mr. Hickerson’s birthday.

Miss Sallie Lillard has been spending several days at the home -<>f Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kinsey and sons in Front Royal.

Mrs. Eleanor Timmons of Alexandria was accompanied home Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Curtis after spending several weeks here. William J. Curtis of Columbia, Md. spent the weekend with his parents.

Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Robert Nethers were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers, Bonnie and Connie Ritenour, all of Stephens City and Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Heather of Sperryville. Also visiting were Charles Corder Jr. and Karen of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lewis of Huntly.

The Flint Hill Home Demonstration Club met at the fire hall on Tuesday, May 11, with eleven present. Mrs. Ethel Pullen was hostess and Mrs. Flo Duvall gave the demonstration on “Fabric Painting”.

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Bywaters and Cindy attended a surprise birthday dinner in honor of Mr. Walker at the home of his daughter. Miss Joyce Walker in Arlington.

Mrs. Wade Pullen was a Sunday dinner guest of Mrs. Annie Putman in Arlington. Guests of Mrs. Pullen Saturday were Mrs. Elmer Cook and Mrs. Vernon Jenkins and girls of Amissville.

Dr. and Mrs. Robert Rodgers had brunch with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Humphries in Alexandria Sunday.
