Mrs. Verlie Ellen Bennett. 70. of Flint Hill died Sunday. August 26. 1982. in Warren Memorial Hospital. Front Royal. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church by the Rev. Steven Scoggin. Burial will be in Flint Hill Cemetery. She was born February 25. 1912, in Rappahannock County, a son ot the late Aldridge and Sarah Ellen LeHew Fisk. She was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church. Surviving with her husband. Ellis W. Bennett of Flint Hill, are one son, Paul E. Bennett of White Plains, Md.; two brothers. Irving Sisk of Washington and Reid Fisk of Gore; two sisters. Belle Pullen of Washington and Dorothy Atkins ot Flint Hill; tour grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dr. Edwin Eastham, Dabney Fastham. Robert Eastham. Paul Bennett. Jr.. Brady L. Bennett and Jimniv Joback.

James Daniel Nicholson. 73, of Leon died Sunday. August 29. 1982. at Shenandoah Nursing Home. Ranson. W. Va.
Mr. Nicholson, a retired stonemason, was a lifelong resident of Madison County. His parents were the late James and Cynthia Nicholson. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Viola Nicholson of Leon; two daughters. Mrs. Rosie May Woodward of Boyce and Mrs. Daisy Nicholson of Leon and four sons. Lewis Daniel Nicholson of Culpeper. James Garlow Nicholson ot Etlan. Rosevelt Nicholson of Boyce and Robert Nicholson of Summit Point. W. Va.
Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and one sister. Mrs. Nellie Nicholson of Flint Hill. Graveside services were conducted on Tuesday at the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. George Johnson. Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
