Nina Steiteler of the Fashion Shoppe in Culpeper said that her store has been selling jeans as well as sweaters for fall. Among the most popular sweaters are the Fair Isle, with the patterned yoke, "tipped” sweaters with a small stripe around the neck; and white or light-colored sweaters with a thin horizontal stripe. Steiteler said that many of her customers told her that they would be back in to buy more when they “saw what the other kids were wearing”.
