Mrs. Calherine Brown of Sperrvville was honored on her 75th birthday, Saturday. August 28. by a surprise party given by her children in the Rapidan Room at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper. There were approximately 100 guests present.
Members of her family there were her children and their spouses, Mrs. Betty Overhulser of Alexandria, Charles Atkins of Luray, Mrs. Barbara Payne of Falls Church, Strother Brown of Jackson Heights. N.Y.. Benny Brown of Winchester, Julian Brown of Sperrvville and Mrs. Shirley Kushner of Gaithersburg. Md.
Granddaughters present were Mrs. Jane Burnopp of Fredericksburg. Mrs. Vicki Anos of Annandale and Beverly Brown of Winchester; great grandchildren, Joy, Jay. and Jessica Burnopp and Christopher Anos.
Sisters attending were Mrs. Marie Bruce and Mrs. Edna Oliver of Luray anti brothers, Carlton Atkins of Sperrvville and Gayland Atkins ol Lu ray.
Mrs. Brown received many beautiful and useful gifts.
