On September 7 and 8 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 pm., a pre-school screening assessment will be held lor all children under the age of.five at the Rappahannock County Elementary' School.' Tne assessment will be in the areas of coordination, selfhelp. movement, social and language development.
Rappahannock County Public Schools are required by Public Law 94-142 to hold this county-wide child find. The purpose of the screening is to locate, identify and plan an educational training program for children who have or are suspected of having any of the following conditions: visual, speech, hearing disorders, multiple handicaps, special health problems, learning and developmental delays.
The pre-school screening program involves no cost to the parents.
Parents are asked to bring their children to the elementary school on Tuesday and Wednesday for the screening. It could make a difference in a child's growth and development.
