raincloud rising out of the valley to the west is so vertical and compact that it looks almost like a forest fire.
The valley to the east, backed by Brushy Mountain, is rough and forested. To the west is a valley which offers a nice perspective of civilization. The sunlight reflects off of dozens of house and barn roofs. The closely grazed, soft green pastures extend to remarkable heights, marked by random rock outcrops, sinkholes, livestock trails, and rows and patches of trees. A cluster of buildings is the community of Blue Grass. A nice pastoral scene. I fancy I would be happy working on any one of these picturesque farms.
The rain cometh. It is sweeping down across Snowy Mountain and a storm is bearing down on the’ north end of my ridge. In this heat, I won't mind getting wet but will have to leave the ridgetop. Lightning is something to be feared here.
