The Rappahannock Homeowners Association was organized to give landowners along the line to the Sperryville substation, neighbors and those with property bordering I'ot Kd’s line from Sperryville to Front Royal an opportunity to keep informed and participate in the case. In addition to the adverse effect of the new line on property values, Association members have also expressed concern over possible health and safety hazards posed by t he highervoltage.
Potomac Kdison representatives have offered to a number of affected homeowners settlement fees which bear no relation to the actual damage to property caused by poles and wires al ready erected, according to RHA members. An Association spokesman also expressed concern that the low offers will spark doubts on whether Judge Robertson’s ruling in favor of the Camerons will be upheld by the Supreme Court.
The June 80th meeting of the Rappahannock Homeowners Association will focus on the appeal and how to pay for the additional legal expenses. Association members are being asked to contribute to the fund raising effort and in other ways offer assistance.
The meeting is open to the public.
