Art Class

RAAC and Spectra are sponsoring an art class for children, grades 1-7, .June 27 through July 1 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Spectra.

A $30 fee will be charged and a $10 deposit is required for materials. The class will be taught by Laurie Marshall. For more information call 675-32KK.

Crisis In The Rain

The Rappahannock chapter of‘the Izaak Walton League will present the film, "Crisis in the Rain,” at the Cay Street Theater in Washington on Saturday, June 2.',, at 7:30 p.m. A discussion of the problem of acid rain will follow the showing.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

July Gala At LeHews

The Chamber of Commerce of Front Royal and Warren County will hold its Second Annual July Gala on Sunday, July 3, at “Bel Aire”, the home of Nancy and Larry LeHew in Front Royal.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Sunday of the July Fourth weekend, the Gala will feature a pig roast, bar-b-qued chicken, beverages and a fireworks display. Music for the Gala will be provided by Royal Flush featuring Larry LeHew, Red Rooster and Bottom Dollar. Door prizes totaling several thousand dollars will be awarded.

Tickets for the Gala must be purchased in advance from Chamber members or at the Chamber office on South Royal Avenue for $25 per couple. No tickets will be available at the gate.

Couples planning to attend should bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Again this year, WFTR Radio will provide patriotic music to accompany the 9:30 p.m. fireworks display. Participants are reminded to bring a portable radio.

Benefit Auction

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fund raising auction at the fire hall in Chester Gap at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 1.
