The Sperryville Community 4-H Chib met on Monday, December 17 at 7 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall under the direction of Barbara C. Burke. The meeting was called to order by President Elizabeth Oliver, minutes read by secretary, Christie Estep, treasurer’s report by Jennifer Leake and Heather Estep, song director led the dub in two songs. Other business matters were (harassed and then the chib started their project work.

Several members were involved in Food and Nutrition Project which was directed by April Heddleston and others worked on a sewing project taught by Lucy Oliver. Jeff Dwyer was the project leader for the woodworking project, which is still in the early . stages. Other area youngsters interested in woodworking should contact Mr. Dwyer or the dub leader. '

April Heddleston presented awards for the completion of the Food and Nutrition Project. Tied in first place for ribbons were Christie Estep and Heather Estep. "Both girls did a wonderftil job and I was so pleased by their work, they both deserve to receive first place ribbons,” said project
