often only associated with love of country. I believe this newspaper ought to be counted in that love for Rappahannock, too.
Another editor will assume in January the responsibility of keeping people informed. No doubt this person will have much to learn about this wpnderful place and the special people who again will help a newcomer to learn.
I leave this position with only one hope for people who bring their love, aspirations— and anxieties—here: to be positive. There’s some brightness in everything. Like the mechanic who brings an engine back to life, fixing things just takes people willing to search for the spark—then build upon it once found.
In this column, on a page set aside for opinions, anyone can preach. My preach is this: Be positive. It’s the basis of the best philosophy whether at work, school, home or leisure. And there are more positive things in Rappahannock than anywhere else I know.
