Estabrook believes a supportive public and improved communication among the supervisors, the School Board and school administrators fostered a better understanding of educational needs this year. He dted a special public meeting last March during which the supervisors, the School Board and school administrators discussed each line item in the proposed budget. The interaction and dialogue were helpful,” Estabrook recalls, noting that in past years the School Board simply gave the supervisors a copy of the proposed budget and expected them to vote. “We appreciate the support (of the supervisors)...It’s very much in keeping with the trend of the times.
