When I came to Rappahannock County last December, I had no idea I would be leaving in one short year. Rappahannock’s beauty and quietness drew me into a comfortable life among its hills. Individuals around the county opened their hearts to share their knowledge of the county and themselves which made life comfortable, but my family was always pulling me away from Rappahannock.

There are so many people in the county who have helped make this year special that it is impossible to thank each of them here, but I do want to say a collective “Thank You” to everyone. Thanks for sharing your communities, your homes, your Kves and your knowledge with me.

Thanks for the special memories that bring back a smile or a chuckle.To mention a few: “Clowning Around” at the Elementary school last year in the 4th grade Listening to Marie Davis sing Trying to fix ten different recipes of “wok cooking” in two hours When Midd gave up the basket! Having shoes heaved into the lake (yours not mine). Ask ai-H teen! “Now that we’ve gone to all this trouble, I hope someone shows up!” They did. Helping put the 4-H signs while, Tim, Tom, Dexter and Jim tried to be “King of the bank” slide-slide-plop. Someone catch the sign!
