The topography of the 99.75-acre Stover property is described as “gently rolling hills” with “one large, broad ridge top” as a possible landfill location. The property has one small and one medium sized stream and one spring. Only two or three houses are located nearby although the committee members note on the evaluation form that a landfill would have an impact on houses along Route 639.
Access to the Stover property, located six-tenths of a mile from Route 211, is on a state-maintained road, of which a half-mile is gravel and would need to be upgraded. The report notes that the state may pay half this expense.
Forest cover is described as excellent, “about 90 percent wctoded.”
