Literacy Volunteers to meet Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers will hold their monthly meeting Friday, Jan. 8, at 9 a.m. in the Trinity Parish Hall. Anyone wishing help in improving reading skills will be cordially welcomed.
Quaker meeting v There is an hour of silent worship on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Middle Street Gallery.
Aerobic and flexercise classes An eight-week series of aerobic dance classes will begin Thursday, Jan. 7. Evening classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 o’clock at the'elementary school. Afternoon rlannfn will be held Wednesdays and Fridays at the flint Hill fire hall. Class fee is |35 for twice a week and $45 for unlimited attendance. Flexercise classes will resume Monday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m. at the elementary school. Class fee is $25 for eight weeks, or the class can be included under unlimited aerobics. NSDAR to meet The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will meet at the Culpeper United Methodist Church Jan. 12 at 1:30 p.m. A panel of exservicewomen will speak on “Women in Service, Past, and Present.” Mrs. Douglas D. Fairfax, Regent, will preside.
Free ‘heart to heart9 program “Heart to Heart,” an educational meeting for people with heart disease and members ot their families, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fauquier Hospital Educational Center. Dr. Dave Snyder will speak about how to motivate yourself towards healthy living. The free program is co-sponsored by Fauquier Hospital and the American Red Cross.
Karate classes at CCLC . Children’s karate classes will be held at the Child Care and Learning Center each Wednesday, Jan. 13-March 30, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The cost of the 12-week series will be $65. No opefiing at Middle St. Due to a publicity error a scheduled show at Middle St. Gallery will not be held. The gallery will be closed during January and will reopen in February. Future shows will be announced. No coffeehouse There will be no coffeehouse at the Middle St. Gallery this Saturday. The next scheduled coffeehouse will be held the second Saturday in February.

Three, suburban women (Susan Sarandon, Cher and Michelle Pfeiffer) who happen to be witches make a wish for a knight-on-acharger kind oCguy. They get Jack Nicholson. Leering, randy and zesty, Nicholson supplies this nicely shot film with^an exhilarating power-of-presence. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
