Miss Bonnie Heaton Brown
was among the 317 candi^ dates for degrees at graduation \exercises Dec. 21, 1967, at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She received a bachelor of science degree in applied science. Miss Brown is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Brown of Woodville. She is a 1962 gradjwte. of Rappahannock County ^High School.
Mr. and Mrs. John Silvey Jr. were awarded first place in the Amissville Ruritan Club Christmas lighting contest. They carried out decorations in all blue lights. In second place was the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Halle, also with lighting done in blue. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Poe were named for third place.

Wilson Burke of Sperryville
has resigned as agent for Virginia state license tags, effective Dec. 31. Mr. Burke expressed his appreciation to the public for its co-operatipp^ during the almost seven ^years he has handled the sale of the tags from his business headquarters, Sperryville Comer Store. No one has been appointed to fill the position.
