Wakefield School in Huntly celebrated the last day of school before the Christmas holiday recess with two special festive programs.
The first program featured the customs and carols of many lands with singing by the Latin, French, German, Spanish and Russian classes.
The evening program began with the traditional procession of students and the reading of St. Luke’s account of the Nativity. The students chosen to lead the procession this year were Matthew Tucker, a senior from Warrenton, who carried the cross, and Melissa Pagano, a freshman from Flint Hill, who read from the Gospel. Acolytes were Christian Kautz-Scavany from Marshall and Michelle Paine from Delaplane.
Afterward there, was a violin and cello concert by the four members of the Paine family.
