The Fodderstack 10K Road Race, which may celebrate its 10th running this April, is in need of adoptive parents.
The Rappahannock Recreation Authority, which has sponsored the previous nine runnings of the popular spring race, will no longer sponsor the event. Authority member Diane Bruce said last week. When asked if there was a reason, Ms. Bruce would say only, “It’s time for a change.”
She said that a number of people had approached her in the past expressing their interest in helping with the race, and she urged anyone still willing to assist to contact her. “It needs to be done right away,” Ms. Bruce stressed. “There are plans which need to be made right away if the race is to come off this year. ”
