A workshop on rug braiding

is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11, in Amissville. The meeting will be held at the Amissville Baptist Church and will begin at 7:30 p.m. The workshop is sponsored by the Homemakers Club, but participation is not limited to members. Anyone interested in rug braiding is invited to attend.

15 YEARSAGO RAPPAHANNOCK NEWS From the January 11, 1973, edition

George L. Taylor, a member

of Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78 AF& AM, has been presented a 50-year * pin. Mr. Taylor, for many years a resident of Sperryville, now resides in Culpeper. He is a past master of Sperryville Lodge which consolidated in 1957 with the Washington Lodge. Presentation was made by the Worshipful Master Edward R. Saunders.

Fifty BCIA Angus bulls completed their final 140 days feed test in December at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise. These bulls were consigned by farmers from all over Virginia. Two bulls owned by Ray T. Cannon, El Rancho Grande, Castleton, had the highest 365-day weight, one at 1066 pounds, and the other 1059 pounds. The top bull was sired by Kingdom Elevate 223.
