French, Spanish and others, the Constitution is made up of some of the most important historical agreements and works of literature prior to its time. The main portion of the Bill of Rights came from the 1689 English Bill of Rights and the Magna Carta of 1215. Other parts of the Constitution came from the French writing Social Contract by Jean Jacques Rousseau and John Locke’s Two Treatises of Civil Government.
