ASCS sends
report forms
to producers
Copies of Form CCC-182, Report of Payment to Producers, will be mailed to farmers during the last two weeks of January. The form shows the amount of ASCS payments during 1987 which have been reported to IRS." Anyone who does not receive a form, or has a question about a form, should contact the ASCS office.
Wool Program Deadline: Application for incentive payments for producers of wool or unshorn lambs sold during 1987 must be filed by Feb. 1. The ASCS office requests that salfes tickets (with original signatures) be brought in the office when the application is made.
Committee Elections: T.V. Williams Jr. was reelected from Community C to serve a three-year term on the county committee.
Also elected were James F. Massie Jr. as first alternate and W. Clifford Latham as second alternate. The 1988 Rappahannock County ASC Committee is composed of T.V. Williams Jr., chairman, Louis P. Moore Jr., vice chairman, and I.JL Kilby, regular member.
Skywatch
set Jan. 15
The Shenandoah Astronomical Society, the local amateur astronomy club, will hold a Winter Skywatch on Friday, Jan. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown.
The public is invited to view planets, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies through telescopes and binoculars provided by club members who will describe these objects and answer questions.
