TOPS Exercise Club
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) chapter is now meeting in Amissville on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 to 11. Weights are taken in confidence. Cost is $1 per visit. Fashion show planned
The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will sponsor a fashion show on Sunday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. This year’s theme is “Luck of the Irisl\.” Advance tick*'- and'dr natmi ads may be purchased from any member.
Teacher training workshop
Dr. Denise Hershkowitz Horton, a licenced clinical psychologist in private practice in Washington, D.C., and RappahannockCounty, has been invited to present an in-service teacher training workshop for the Child Care and Learning Center Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10-1 p.m. " The workshop, entitled “Creativity and Kids,” will focus on the development and nurture of the creative process in the pre-school child, and will utilize case studies and sample lesson plans to provide participants with a “hands-on” learning experience. Dr. Horton specializes in working with the creative process, and recently was an invited speaker on early childhood development and the creative process at the seventh annual Common Boundary Conference on Psychotherapy and Spirituality in Washington, D.C.
This workshop is open to interested professionals in the community. Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch. To register contact the Child Care and Learning Center at 675-3237.
