Amissville and Rappahannock leagues. This year there are five teams; three from Amissville and two from Rappahannock.
In the Bambino League, the Amissville Astros lead the division with an undefeated 3-0 record. The Rappahannock Red Sox are also off to a strong start, sitting in second place with an undefeated 2-0 record. The Amissville Blazers and Rappahannock Yankees are tied for third place, sharing 1-2 records. They are followed by the Amissville Bulldogs, who are still seeking their first win after three defeats.
In the Minor League, the Rappahannock Braves lead the league with a perfect 3-0 record so far this season. In second place are the Rappahannock Indians, sporting a 1-2 record to this point. And trailing in third place are the Amissville Red Legs, who have yet to put a winning game in their record book, standing at 0-2 for the year.
Mrs. Diggs said that spectators can find games "nearly every night of the week." In Amissville, games are played at the Ruritan Club's Stuart Field on Route 211. The Rappahannock League plays its home games on the two fields at the Rappahannock County Elementary School.
The Babe Ruth League, both Amissville and Rappahannock teams, play their games at the baseball field at the Rappahannock County High School. All games begin at 0 p.m.
