Donnelle J. Painter, college friend of the bride, of Houston, Texas; Donna Staton Utz, cousin-in-law of the bride, of Haymarket, and Pamela Stair Woods, sister-in-law of the groom, of Kansas City, Missouri. The attendants held cascades of fullsized pink carnations, pink miniature carnations, heather, alstroemeria lilies; pittisporum, and bakers fern.

Each attendant wore a wine-colored dress of schiffli lace over satin with a scalloped sabrina neck, fitted bodice, and scalloped V-neck back. There were matching short sleeves and a full gathered skirt with scalloped trim of tea length. The wine satin cummerbund was accented with a back bow.
