The bride is the daughter of Joel E. Grizzle of Manassas and the late Maijorie Ann Utz Grizzle. Her stepmother is Landra Dennis Grizzle. The groom is the son of Donald E. and Linda Purdy Woods of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Maternal grandparents of the bride are Ressie Whorton Utz, of Falling Waters, West Virginia (formerly of Manassas, Virginia), and the late Thomas H. Utz. David C. and Beatrice Claybom Grizzle Hanback of Manassas, Virginia, and the late Paul W. Grizzle from Royston, Georgia, are the paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert H. Dennis of Amissville, Virginia, are the maternal step-grandparents, and Landem H. Luttrell, also of Amissville, is the maternal stepgreat grandfather.
The groom’s maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Purdy, of Malvern, Arkansas. Mr. (since deceased) and Mrs. Joe E. Woods of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, are the paternal grandparents.
Dr. Opal Reddin, Professor at Central Bible College and counselor of evangelistic ministry, of Springfield, Missouri, performed the double-ring ceremony. Additionally, she presided over the unity candle and presented the communion and commission to Christian service to the couple before an alter accented by a decorated brass archway of white carnations, red roses, pink miniature carnations, babies breath, lemon leaves, and fern.
The bride, escorted by her father . down an isle lined with single-candle isle markers decorated with white lace and satin bows, alstroemeria lilies, asparagus fern, carried a cascading bouquet of gardenias, stephanotis, lemon leaves, dieffenbachia, and soft asparagus fern. Her bridal gown and veil were borrowed from her sister.
The white silk taffeta bridal gowrn and a wedding-band collar with illusion yoke and bodice of beaded and Alencon lace, complimented with Renaissance sleeves. The illusion back was centered with bridal buttons extending from the waist to the neck.
