Patricia and Barry Schiermeyer were turned down again in their request for a variance from setback requirements by the Board of Zoning Appeals last Wednesday.
Last month they applied for a variance of 30 feet from the rear setback requirement of 50 feet and a variance of 35 feet from the front setback requirement of 75 feet for a 1.02 acre parcel they have contracted to purchase from Nina Stamer in the Flint Hill area. The contract depended on getting the variance. They were turned down.
This month they reapplied, requesting a variance of four feet from the rear and three feet plus a sevenfoot deck from the front setback. They had planned to reorient their house. It would no longer be passive solar. t
