Book inspires
creativity
To the Editor:
I just wanted to share with the readers, a book I read this summer from our local library and one I hardly recommend to parents and especially to teachers. As a grandparent, I thought it was a very nuturing book for the raising of our children. It’s “Growing Up Creative,” author Teresa Amabile tells how we can encourage youngsters to their free creative potentials. Keeping creativity alive at home and at school just by what we do and say to them, and not discourage them.
This is something so vital in our present society of TV and boredom. It talks of teaching accomplishments, thus giving self esteem and self worth. In my opinion I consider this “help” book a real must in our reading.
