Rappahannock County celebrated the 10th anniversary of Camp Fantastic, Special Love’s hallmark project held at Northern Virginia 4H Educational Center in Front Royal, on Aug. 18 with a birthday party, complete with balloons, streamers, costumed clowns, face painters and presents for each camper. . For the last several years, Rappahannock County has sponsored an Evening at the camp. This year 87 campers from NIH, camp doctors from NIH, and counselors attended the event. Also in attendence were Tom and Sheila Baker, founders of jCamp Fantastic, John Dooley, former 4-H director and Lee Caps, current director.
I Sheila O’Brien, former owner of ;the School House Restaurant, 'headed up the Rappahannock effort. iHer committee consisted of Helen Smith, Maybelle Gilkey, Beu Atkins jand Beverly Warrick.
