(Body andSouC

Contemplate the connection...work and soul.

Work and the body...a straightforward concept; whatever our work, we must utilize our body, whether primarily brain or brawn.

Work and the soul...now ponder this. How do you feel, physically and emotionally, after an active and satisfying workday? Perhaps a feeling of stimulation...of elevation...of the body and the soul...sometimes coined “a good tired". Why? Because work done with dedication is also good for the soul.

A new concept? Hardly. Over one hundred years ago, the philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, wrote, "Good for the body is the work of the body, and good for the soul is the work of the soul, and good for either the work of the other."

Inclusive in our celebration during the week of Labor Day, as we woir-. ship, may we praise God as the source of our talents and our vigor.
