Robin Day, who lives in Sperryville and is married to Mr. Schiermeyer’s sister, said he also supported the application. “Everyone wants a piece of property in Rappahannock that is 25 to 50 acres to build a large house. He’s found a piece that fits his budget, and he wants to build a house he can live in. If he found a piece to fit the house, he wouldn’t afford it. You should build a house that fits the personality of the people, not the lot.”
