After work sessions last Tuesday and this past Monday the • Board of Supervisors voted to ad•» vertise the budget for the coming * year based on a tax rate of 62 cents per $100 of assessed value on real estate and a rate of $2.90 per $100 for personal property.
A public hearing on the budget will be held at 7 p.m. June 7 at the ! courthouse. This budget is basically unchanged from the first draft. The real estate tax rate represents a 24 percent increase from the rate for the current budget of 50 cents per $100. The personal property tax rate would be unchanged.
