In hearing the request from the Fire and Rescue Association for a $13,000 increase in county funds to a total contribution of nearly $129,000 the supervisors asked if the association would object to a requirement that the companies be audited.
The assiciation will poll , its member companies on the issue.
The Tuesday evening work session included the library board’s request for an additional $4,800 in county funds. The supervisors also heard from representatives of Lord Fairfax Community College, the 4-H Center, the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, FGRE, and legal services.
Following the public hearing on the budget, the supervisors will schedule a meeting to adopt the budget later in June.
