At Central Monday the Panthers gained a 14 to 3 victory, bringing their record in district play to four wins and three losses, and winning their fourth straight game. The wins have come as Deitrich Beaver has started pitching for the first time in her softball career. Susan Payne has been available for relief, and together they have cut down on the number of walks given up.
The softball team expects to host a quarter final game in the district tournament Friday at 5 p.m. but their opponent was not determined at press time as other teams in the district still had games to make up that were cancelled due to weather.
