The annual Flint Hill fireman’s carnival will begin tonight, Wednesday and continue through Saturday. The parade on Thursday begins at 6:45 and will be led by the newly crowned Miss Virginia 1993, box suppers will be served before and after the parade. Ride Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. for one low price of $7. On Saturday evening the awards will be given away including a 1993 Ford automobile. registered Black Angus and more. Plan to attend and support your local firemen.Paula Howell of Madison Heights spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Russie Miller. They were Saturday dinner guests of Miss Mary Miller Wood at Washington.On Sunday they were luncheon guests of Mrs. Miller’s sister, Mrs. Gladys Bowie at Culpeper.

Mrs. Edith Graves of Luray and Mr. Thomas Williams of Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lillard.

Mrs. Joy Shorb was scheduled to undergo surgery at the Fair Oaks Hospital on Thursday. We wish her a speedy recovery.
