* The annual Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department carnival is slated lor Wednesday through Saturday, .this week, July 28-31. J ; Purple dinosaurs will be attending, including a dinosaur ride, and a dinosaur float in the parade. The parade Thursday night will be the longest ever with over 150 units. Rides, games, food and a Department of Transportation demonstration will be available every night. J . The grand prize Saturday night is a 1993 Ford, but some might prefer to win the second prize: season tickets to Redskin games. Other pVizes include dinner for two at The Inn at Little Washington, and Four & Twenty Blackbirds, a heifer and - -calf, a handmade afghan and quilt, and a collector firefighter plate.
