The final section was open-ended and asked students what things had “most improved” in the schools in the last two years. High school students most often said “nothing,” followed by sports, teachers, and class offerings. Elementary students listed teachers most often, nothing second and the playground third.
For the last questions students were asked what “one thing” they would like to improve. High school students listed teachers most, followed by athletics (including several students who would like to have a football team), followed by rules and class offerings. Elementary students listed the cafeteria first, followed by an addition and then air conditioning.
Of 32 students contacted from the class of 1992, 20 were attending college, 10 were working and two were doing neither but planned to attend college next year.
They listed many career goals but “undecided” with nine responses and “make lots of money” with three were the only career goals reported by more than one student.
