Flower Arrahging Program The monthly meeting of the Blue Ridge Extension Homemakers Club will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at the Extension Office. The program for the evening will be “Flower Arranging” presented by Donna Brune. Members are encouraged to attend and bring a friend. Yard Sale at Wakefield A 75 family yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at Wakefield Country Day School, Inc. at Huntly. Spring Event Planned The Washington Baptist Church will have their annual Spring Event at the church on Saturday, April 23. The church members will have bake goods, hot food and drinks, flower and vegetable plants and items for sale at Grandma’s Attic.
Flea Market Planned The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will be accepting flea market items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 24 at the fire hall for the upcoming flea market to be held on April 30. Old Dominion Races The twenty-second running of The Old Dominion Hounds PointTo-Point races will be held on Saturday, April 9 at the Ben Venue Race Course. The course is located 16 miles west of Warrenton on Highway U.S. 211. The first race goes off at 12 noon. Admission is $5 and children under 12 are free. At 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 Old Dominion Hounds Hunter Pace Event will be held. For more information call 347-0603.
