The country is fighting a number of brush fires right now: Mr. Johnson names them: “jobs, health care reform, campaign reform, welfare reform...a crime bill”—the administration is galloping in to douse these flame with buckets of gasoline and the American people do not want them to get anywhere near the flames. That’s the problem for the “Gasoopher”—the rest of the Congress is listening to the American people, most of whom, let us remember, did not vote for Mr. Clinton.
It may be bother the “Gasoopher” that the Clintons are not only dishonest and arrogant, but inefficient, dishonest, and arrogant, but it does concern some of us, and we have no obligation under God, the Constitution, or the rules of good taste not to make our case every chance we get.
