Walk-in Clinics Scheduled

April walk-in clinics at the Rappahannock County Health Department are as follows 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12; 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18 and from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26.

Programs Planned

The Rappahannock- Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center Dr. Bowers will do a program at 11 a.m. on April 8; Marion Sharp will do blood pressure checks at 11:30 a.m. and April 11 and Denise Eastham/ “Stress Tape” will be held at 1 p.m. on April 22.

Meditation Group

Meditation group meets at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday near Washington. Basic Zen practice. Call 675-3949.

Camp Registration

Final registration is now being held for the 16th Annual Bryan Adrian Summer Basketball Camp. Boys and girls ages 5 through 18 are eligible. There are several camp locations including Lynchburg, Va.; Institute, W.Va. and Greensboro, N.C. The Bryan Adrian Basketball Camp is among the best teaching camps in the country. Garden Club Scholarship

High school seniors have until April 26 to complete applications for the Rappahannock Garden Club’s $1500 scholarship. Application forms are available at the RCHS guidance office.

Storyhour Continues

Storyhour continues at the Rappahannock County Library every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. through April 26. To enliven her stories about rabbits, Diane Wood brought in her pet rabbit April. The children had a wonderful time making “Happy Spring” cards decorated with rabbits and glitter. Carol Lucking will present the program on April 12. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to participate in these free programs. Registration is not required.
