Bluemont Concert Series is bringing the popular musician, storyteller and dance caller Bill Wellington of Staunton to Rappahannock County on Saturday, May 14 for two events.
At 5 p.m., there will be a matinee concert for young families followed by a picnic at the Child Care and Learning Center and at 8 p.m., there will be an old time country dance with Csuun dances and instruciton at the Rappahannock County Elementary School.
Bill Wellington is well known throughout the area for his engaging performances of oldtime music and tales and his Radio Woof program. Lorraine Duisit on autoharp will open the matinee with songs and stories for families.
After the concert there will be a covered dish picnic at CCLC. All are welcome to these events. Admission is $3 per person, $1 under 12. For more information on the family matinee, call Lorraine Duisit at 675-3743.
