Walk-in Clinic at the Rappahannock Health Department will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11.
Also on Wednesday, May 11 the Red Cross Bloodmobile sponsored by the Rappahannock extension Homemaker Club will be at the Washington Fire Hall from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
I enjoyed the Life Walk on Saturday. My grandson Curt Stuart, 10, joined me. Walking with us was another Amissville family, Molly Arrington, along with her children Ashley 5, Stephen 4 and Paula 11/2. Of course, Stephen and Paula got to ride in the stroller.
If you ever have an opportunity to hear Jon Heddleston speak on the subject “Circuit Riding Preachers,” you are encouraged to do so. I heard him speak Sunday to the Rappahannock Historical Society and was fascinated to hear him discuss information contained in his greatgreat-grandfather’s diaries and other great circuit-riding preachers.
