Fashion Show Slated
On Thursday, May 19 the Fashion and Tailoring Department of George Washington Carver-Piedmont Technical Education Center will present a fashion show “Fashion In Bloom” at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium on Route 15 South of Culpeper. The clothing, which is being shown, has been created by the students in the class. Everyone is invited to attend.
Wrestle Fest Canceled
The Continental Wrestling Alliance’s “Wrestle Fest*94” this coming Saturday, May 7 at Culpeper Middle School, has been canceled.
The match promoter canceled the event due to lack of ticket sales, according to Steve Mclnnis, vice-president of the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad. The match was to be a fund raising benefit for the squad.
Businesses who purchased advertising space in the program will receive checks within the next few days. Individuals who purchased tickets are asked to mail those tickets to the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 731, Culpeper, Va. 22701. Please include a mailing address where a refund can be sent.
