oldtime country dance with Bill Wellington and Cajun Frenz from Washington, D.C. at RCES. The evening will include oldtime Southern and New England country dances with Cajun dances and instruction throughout the evening. Members of the band includ Bill Wellington on banjo and calling, Trent Van Blaricom on fiddle and accordion and Tom Jones on guitar. Admission to the dance is $5, $3 for Bluemont Friends and $1 for children under 12.
Bluemont country dances attract people throughout the area with a friendly atmosphere that welcomes new dancers and families. Instruction and calling are provided throughout the dance. Homemade refreshments will be available for purchase at the dance.
These dances are held the second Saturday each month October through May and alternate locations between Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains and RCES. For further information call Katherine Treanor at 937-5794.
