strength and guidance from God...to help us renew our commitment to our moral and spiritual hertiage, so we can fulfill our potential as a nation.

The Continental Congress first declared a National Day of Prayer in 1775. In 1863 Lincoln wrote: “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has even grown. But we have forgotten God.” (What would Lincoln say about us today?)

If you are unable to attend one of the above programs, you are encouraged, whereever you may be, to pray for our leader form 12:20 to 12:40 on Thursday. (Portions of above taken from Culpeper Star Exponent article on Sunday, May 1).
