Emergency Plan Update
The Rappahannock County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 in the Courthouse in Washington.
The Rappahannock County Emergency Operations Plan (OPLAN) as well as Materiel Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) affecting the County are available for review at this office which is located in the Magistrates’ Office, next to the Sheriffs Office on Mt. Salem Ave., Washington.
All interested residents are invited to attend the above meeting as well as to visit this office.
Rep To Visit
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, May 11.
Mrs. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension Office from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Citizens are also welcome to express their opinions on matters of concern, particularly national topics or issues before the United States Congress.

New Washington Town Brochures can be picked up at Ragged Mountain Resource Center from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays or call Hunt Harris at 675-1879. They will also be available at the next Washington Business Council Meeting at ? p.m. on Monday, June 5 in the Town Hall.
