Woman's Club To Meet The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9 at the Rappahannock Extension Office on Gay Street in Washington. Donations Sought SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) at RCHS are asking for donations, either money or prizes, for their After Prom Party. Wildlife Exhibit at Spring Mtn. The Wildlife Center of Virginia is coming to Spring Mountain School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24. Trained wildlife personnel will bring live birds of prey and/or other animals for first-and interaction with the audience. The Wildlife Center is the only professionally staffed veterinary hospital for wild animals in the mid-Atlantic. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. I
Fund Raising Drive Underway Boy Scout Troop #200 of Flint Hill is having a fund-raising drive to start a new troop and send Scouts to camp. Scouts will do yard work/odd jobs on Saturday afternoons as a troop. Bake sale will be held May 27. Donations of money, bake goods and jobs will be greatly appreciated. Flower Pickup Planned The Trinity Episcopal Church will have a House Tour Flower pickup for flowers to be dried for the October House Tour and Dried Flower Sale after Sunday services. For information call Jane and Maurice Herndon at 987-8224.
Open House Planned An open house will be held at Belle Meade from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. Belle Meade is located on Route 231, Sperryville and camp directors, Susan Hoffman and Mike Biniek invites the public to attend. “Bring your bathing suit, the pool will be open,” said Ms. Hoffman.
