The Board of Supervisors cut the school budget by $127,404.60 before adopting the $6 million budget for next year.
The proposal was made by Piedmont District representative Charles K. “Pete” Estes who added that the supervisors would be willing to add $47,000 if indeed the number of students in the pre-school handicapped class requires the addition of another teacher and teachers’ aide.
